Comics: Mad Vestibule to TV!

 So MAD it's GOOD . . .

. . . it's Mad Magazine, and Re:LODE Radio considers the chapter in Marshall McLuhan's Understanding Media on Comics: Mad Vestibule to TV! 

Sadly, the "old order" MAD magazine in ended in 2017. This was followed by an "after life in death" with issue #10 (Dec. 2019) of the new Burbank edition, when Mad began to consist almost entirely of curated reprints with new covers, with the exception of year-end specials and minimal amounts of new content. Distribution to newsstands had stopped, with the magazine becoming available only through comic-book shops and by subscription.
